Comment: Point of contact for all questions relating to Parkinson's disease. Offers educational, research, membership, and donation services.
Dystonia Europe
Dystonia Europe is a non-profit organisation, which serves as the European umbrella organisation for national dystonia groups.
Comment: Platform for all dystonia stakeholders, which promotes interest in dystonia by working together with patient advocacy groups, medical and healthcare specialists, researchers, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, foundations and individuals. They arrange congresses and high-quality workshops with experts in the field.
American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA)
A network dedicated to fighting Parkinson’s disease.
Comment: APDA provides patient services, educational programs, elevate public awareness about the disease, and supports research.
International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS)
Professional society of clinicians, scientists, and other healthcare professionals, who are interested in Parkinson’s disease, related neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders, hyperkinetic movement disorders, and/or abnormalities in muscle tone and motor control.
Comment: They provide information on movement disorders, educational resources, (online) workshops, international congresses, networking, and membership opportunities.
